Cause

This issue is caused by the following scenario:

  • The module: Password Policy Link from the Jira Password Policy Plugin is ON

  • The setting for External User Management is set to ON

Solution

To fix this issue, you must turn External User ManagementOFF.

Navigate to: Settings → System → General Configuration and look for the setting External User Management . If this is ON then the Password Policy will not be available in the left hand navigation. Changing this setting to it's default value of "OFF", will bring the Password Policy link back.
