Set Remaining Estimate to 0 on post function

Symptoms

When moving items to a Done status in a Work board, you want to set the remaining time estimate to 0 with a workflow post function and to be able to capture the correct metrics in your charts.

Resolution

The post function that you create will need to have specific parameters.

ℹ️ Refer to the Applying post functions to transitions document to help with adding post functions if you are not familiar with the process

1. The type of post function you want to add is an "Update Issue Field" type.

   

2. Set the Issue Field to Remaining Estimate and leave the Field value blank then click Add.

   

3. At this point you should have a new post function added to your transition.
