'Safari cannot open the page because the address is invalid' error on Jira Data Center and Server mobile app

Note that this KB was created for the Data Center version of the product. Problem

The Jira Data Center and Server mobile app throws the following error when you tap Open in app when viewing a Confluence page in Safari on iOS:

Safari cannot open the page because the address is invalid.

Cause

The Confluence Server mobile app is not installed on your device, so the Open in app link fails when it tries to locate the app.

Resolution

Head to the App store to install the Confluence Data Center and Server app.
