Resolve icons missing on status in team-managed project (Jira Cloud)

Summary

When you navigate to board settings in team-managed projects ( Project settings → Board → Column and Statuses ), you don't see the work item type icon for every status. The icons are only shown on certain statuses.

Solution

This is expected behaviour. The work item type icons will appear beside statuses that are only used by one work item type in a team-managed project.

For some statuses, you might see two icons. This is because the second icon is for a subtask, which is not a standard issue type; these will show up when these statuses are added in the subtask workflow.
