Not able to load object specific components in automation rule: "Error loading component"

Summary
When the customer tries to load Assets object-specific components for example "Lookup Objects" or "Object Created" components, the following error is reported:
Error loading component
An unknown error occurred. Please reload and try again.
Diagnosis
The following error message will be received in the Developer console:

Cause
This happens when the third-party cookies in your browser are disabled.
Solution
Enable the third-party cookies on your browser.
If you do not want to enable third-party cookies from all sites, you can choose to enable the cookies for [*.]atlassian.com and [*.]atlassian.net
