New Github organization does not show under project toolchain

Summary

Unable to add see new Github organization under Jira project toolchain

Environment

Jira cloud

Cause

New Github organization that users are part of needs to request access for Atlassian cloud for Jira to access the organization under toolchain

Solution

If you are an admin of the Github organization

• Go to Organization Settings

• OAuth Applicatiom Policy> Third party application access policy

• Review and approve the request

  

If you are a user of the GitHub organization

• Go to Settings

• Applications

• Authorized OAuth Apps > Atlassian Cloud

• Select "request" next to the organization

  

Once approved you will see the Github organization as part of the toolchain
