Missing Provider is Thrown on The Logs While Configuring SSL

Note that this KB was created for the Data Center version of the product. Symptoms

Attempting to configure JIRA to run over SSL, the following appears in the atlassian-jira.log:

1 java.io.IOException: Failed to load keystore type CertBundle with path /etc/pki/tls/certs/ca-bundle.crt due to missing provider

Cause

JIRA is running on an unsupported JAVA distribution. See our Supported Platforms for more details.

Resolution

Switch to a supported JAVA according to this documentation.
