MD5 Checksum Retrieval for Atlassian Software: Jira or Confluence
Platform Notice: Data Center Only - This article only applies to Atlassian products on the Data Center platform.
Note that this KB was created for the Data Center version of the product. Data Center KBs for non-Data-Center-specific features may also work for Server versions of the product, however they have not been tested. Support for Server* products ended on February 15th 2024. Go to the download site for either Jira and Confluence
Click the blue Get Started
button
Mark the checkbox to confirm you agree to the Atlassian Software License Agreement and to the Privacy Policy
Instead of clicking the blue Submit
button, right-click on it and grab the URL for the download, for example:

https://www.atlassian.com/software/jira/downloads/binary/atlassian-jira-software-9.11.2.tar.gz
Append .md5
to the URL, for example:

https://www.atlassian.com/software/jira/downloads/binary/atlassian-jira-software-9.11.2.tar.gz.md5
Enter that URL into a browser and hit Enter
The file that is downloaded will contain the md5
checksum, for example:
