Jira Data Center - HTTP 504 Gateway Timeout after enabling Connect to the Atlassian Marketplace option

Summary
HTTP 504 Gateway Timeout after enabling the Connect to the Atlassian Marketplace option at ManageApps page in Jira Data Center.
The Manage Apps page will not be accessible.

Diagnosis
In the scenario when you have a Proxy in front of Jira, and the server does not have outgoingtraffic opened, and by any reason you enable / checks the Connect to the Atlassian Marketplace option in the Manage Apps > Settings, the Manage Apps page will not be accessible, and you will receive a HTTP 504 gatewaytimeout from the proxy.
As the server does not have connectivity to outside world ( outgoing traffic blocked ), the Proxy is not able to complete the request and times out.
This Feature Request JSWSERVER-25936 - Provide a Jira REST API Endpoint to disable UPM connectivity suggest to implement a Jira REST API Endpoint to disable UPM connectivity, so the Manage Apps page can be accessed via Proxy afterwards, when this incident in this scenario occurs.
Solution
The only currently way in this scenario to resolve this is bypassingthe proxy so it can be disabled back from Jira UI.
