Internal Server Error on Dashboard Gadget

Problem
While running JIRA on SSL using Apache mod_proxy , the dashboard gadget gets an internal server error.
The following appears in the catalina.out

javax.net.ssl.SSLHandshakeException: No appropriate protocol (protocol is disabled or cipher suites are inappropriate)Cause
There is an issue with the Self Signed Cert
Resolution
Add the cert to JIRA by :
Use the command line to import the cert. Running JIRA over SSL or HTTPS(Start from step 5)
or
Use this plugin SSL for JIRA
