Incoming mail behavior with required fields

Note that this KB was created for the Data Center version of the product. There are two incoming mail jobs in out of the box Jira:
Each mechanism works differently specially when there are required fields (check Specifying field behavior):
For Jira's mail handler (Admin > System > Incoming Mail), independent on required fields on specified in field behavior and screens, the e-mails (although not providing all fields, including required) are processed and create issues without the required fields.
For Jira Service Management (Project Settings > Email requests), emails are only processed if all fields different than Summary and Description are optional. As the image:
