How to import an Ordered List into Jira using the External System Import

Solution

Step1: Set the multi-line text field to be on Wiki-style rendering.

  •  Go to Jira Settings > Issues > Field Configuration > search for the Field (example Description) > Under Action select Renderers and set this to Wiki Style Renderer

Step2: Save the CSV field for multi-line field in the following format.

1 2 3 4 5 6 7 # A text ## A sub-text of text ## Another sub-text ### A new sub-text of Another sub-tex ### Another sub-text of sub-text # Another text # Another other text

The final CSV should look like as attached below:
