How to hide the Priority icon from boards and Active Sprints

Background
Currently, it is not possible to hide the priority icon from:
Agile Boards
Kanban Boards
Active Sprints
There is an open feature request for hide the priority icon, which is tracked in JSWSERVER-9695 - Ability to remove the priority icon from Agile boards.
The purpose of this article is to provide a workaround until this feature gets implemented.
Environment
Jira Server/Data Center on any version from 8.0.0.

This solution consist in injecting CSS via the Jira Announcement Banner:
Open the Jira Announcement Banner via
Administration >> System >> Announcement BannerAdd the following code to the announcement banner:
1 2 3<style type="text/css"> .ghx-priority { display: none; } </style>Save the changes
Refresh any board or sprint that you were watching, and you should see that the priority icon is now hidden from:
Agile Boards
Kanban Boards
Active Sprints
