How to Globally Disable Creation of service projects

Note that this KB was created for the Data Center version of the product. Data Center KBs for non-Data-Center-specific features may also work for Server versions of the product, however they have not been tested. Support for Server* products ended on February 15th 2024. Use Case
To provide the ability to toggle on and off the ability to create service projects globally.
Resolution
Browse to Administration -> Add-Ons -> Manage Add-Ons;
Click in Show System Plugins;
Use the search box filtering forJira Service Management
Click on "xx of 190 modules enabled" link;
Now, look for "servicedesk-admin-create-link". Click on the disable button.


To create a new service project just enable the module, and disable it again after creation.
ℹ️ No need to restart Jira.
