How to disable Invite User functionality
Platform Notice: Data Center Only - This article only applies to Atlassian products on the Data Center platform.
Note that this KB was created for the Data Center version of the product. Data Center KBs for non-Data-Center-specific features may also work for Server versions of the product, however they have not been tested. Support for Server* products ended on February 15th 2024. Symptoms
The Invite User button is available in user management and you need to remove this.
Resolution
if you want to disable the "Invite User" functionality, you can do this:
Admin Cog ⚙ >> Manage Apps >> Set the drop down from User-installed to System
Do a browser search (ctrl/Cmd + F ) for "Atlassian Jira - Plugins - Invite User" plugin
Click on the arrow on the left hand side to expand the module >> click on "15 of 15 modules enabled"
Click "Disable" on the "Invite users (invite_users)" module:
This will also block all invites that have already been sent out.
