Resolve Missing Projects in Dropdown When Creating a Jira Cloud Board

Summary

When attempting to create a board, the project does not appear in the drop-down menu.

Solution

You need browse project permission to see the project in the dropdown menu when setting up your board. Read Manage Project Permissions for more details.

1. Go to your project settings

2. Select Permissions

3. Select Actions and click on Edit Permissions.

4. Add the user, group or project role to the project's browse permission..

Note: It's important to understand that modifying the permission scheme of a project will also impact any other projects utilizing that specific scheme.
