Error "Invalid Group(s)" when adding value in a group-type attribute of an Assets object

Summary
The following error is seen when trying to add a group in a group-type attribute of an Assets object.
Invalid Group(s) (<Group name>)
Environment
Jira Service Management Cloud
Cause
There are either leading or trailing spaces in the group name, which makes the group search invalid. For example: Names like "TestGroup" or "TestGroup"
Spaces in between 2 words or characters don't impact this. For ex: Names like "E A" or "Test Group" are valid ones.
Solution
Edit the group name to remove the space and then try to set the group value in the group-type attribute.
In order to edit a group name, refer to the following steps:
Go to admin.atlassian.com. Select your organization if you have more than one.
Select Directory > Groups.
Select the group whose details you want to edit.
Select the More actions icon (•••) next to Add group members.
Select Edit group name to rename the group.
Select Edit description to change the description.
Select Save changes.
