Disabled custom field options show on JQL suggestion drop-down

Problem
While writing a JQL query I'd like to not see suggested options that have been disabled.
Cause
As per the current design of Jira, we allow disable values to be visible on the search.
From an issue search perspective, it is expected that users should still be able to filter on these disabled options.
This is useful way to locate all of the issues that contain a disabled value so that you could then go and remove that option if you wanted.
Solution
The only way to remove the option from the drop-down in issue search is when the option is deleted (rather than disabled) which would result in it being removed from every Issue.
