Summary
After the upgrade to Jira Service Management 5.4.x from 4.20.x, the Customer Portal lacks the option to add or change the number of columns that can be edited from the Customize button.
Environment
JSM Data Center 4.21.x Onwards
Solution
This feature allows any user to modify their view of the requests table in the customer portal. This applies to both approval requests and standard requests page.
The user can reorder the columns in the table and show or hide the columns. This effects only their own view, and the settings are saved in local storage.
Jira admins can modify which request meta-data is available for users to display or rearrange.
To see the "Customize" button on the JSM Customer Portal.
<BASE_URL>/secure/admin/SiteDarkFeatures!default.jspa
Once you are on the Dark Feature Page, type the below flag details in the Enable Dark Feature text box.
1
sd.customer.portal.modify.request.columns.enabled
Once done, re-login into the JSM Customer Portal and check if the Customize button is available.
To Customize available columns in the Customer Portal you Need to have Jira Admin Privileges.
Once you save this configuration, it applies globally to all requests.
