Summary
The feature that is not associated with an inactive team is still visible under the team in the program board. As a result, the inactive team also appears on the program board.
Solution
Along with performing the below-mentioned steps, the Inactive team must be removed from all the Stories/work items and also from 'Add/Remove from Board' in Program Board 'Team Target Completion Sprint' for the Team and Features to not appear in the Program Board.
Once you click on 'Add/Remove from Board' for the Feature, you will see multiple Teams along with the inactive team. You have to remove only the Inactive Team from the list and click on Update.
In Jira:
Move all assigned items back to the backlog
Make sure all active sprints are removed from the board
Make sure no member is allocated to the team
If the Jira Project is no longer needed, it can be archived. See Archiving a project
In Jira Align, delete the associated Board <-> Team mapping under Admin > Jira Management > Jira Boards
In Jira Align, if the Project integration is no longer needed, delete the Project <-> Program mapping under Admin > Jira Settings > Manage Projects
In Jira Align, deactivate the team under Team > Manage > Teams > [select the team you want to deactivate] by setting its Active field to No and Saving.
