Standalone Features Displayed as "Unassigned" in the Jira Align Feature Backlog Swim Lanes

When a Program and Program Increment are selected and Features Backlog is loaded. The Features (Jira Epics) are not displayed in a team swim lane of Kanban View Features (Jira Epics) by the team, although they appear assigned to a team.

If you come across the above scenario:

  • Check if the Feature (Jira Epics) is linked to at least one story.

  • Open the Story(s), the highlighted warning message indicates the cause of the issue.

  • Move the Feature (Jira Epics) to the same Program Increment the Stories are assigned to.

  • The Feature (Jira Epics) should now be displayed in the team swim lane.

In Summary:

  • Make sure the Feature (Jira Epics) has at least one story assigned to it

  • Check if a team is assigned to the story linked to the Feature

  • Check if the Feature(s) are in the same Program Increment of the Stories assigned
