Portfolio Epics Save Button is missing in Jira Align

Summary

The customer reported that the super admin role has a save button for Jira Align Portfolio Epics however the Program & Project Manager role doesn't have that button available.

Environment

Jira Align

Diagnosis

Confirmed that the Settings > Roles >Portfolio > Manage > Epics > "Add" toggle is enabled

For "Program & Project Manager" roles check if Add is already enabled:

• As Super Admin, go to Settings > Roles >Portfolio > Manage > Epics > disable/off "Add"

• Click Save (bottom right of the page)

• Logout and log in again

• Go to Settings > Roles >Portfolio > Manage > Epics > enable/on "Add"

• Click Save (bottom right of the page)

• Login as Program & Project Manager, go to Portfolio > Epics, and check if the "save" button is visible.

Cause

The Epic "Add/Save" toggle also requires two more toggles to be enabled

Solution

For the "Program & Project manager" (or target role) go to the roles:

1- Settings > Roles > Additional Options > Permissions > "Add Agile Objects " ( This one is for to have Save ability)

2- Settings > Roles >Additional Options > Permissions > "Manage Agile Objects (Admin)"
