Summary

This article aims to fix the issue whereby the JET tool for Jira Align is fails check #1 with the following message despite an Epic already being linked:

"Make sure you've linked an epic in your story"

Environment

Diagnosis

While running JET tool for Jira Align against the board(s) and analyzing the View Health Report, the following warning is displayed.

Cause

The issue is caused by a configuration mismatch in JET’s advanced settings as shown in the sample below where "Epic Link Custom Field" is mapping to "Capability Parent (Capability Parent)":

Solution

To fix the issue we need to ensure the "Epic Link Custom Field" is mapping to the "Epic Link” custom field.

This is accomplished following the steps shown in the illustration below:
