How to view the newly created Custom Field(s) in Jira Align Field Management

Summary

A newly added Custom Field is not visible in the dropdown menu unless the admin runs a Configuration Data Pull in Jira Align.

Solution

The new Custom Field is only visible in the Field Management dropdown list if the following actions are performed:

  1. From the Jira Admin menu, ensure to add the Jira Custom Field Type as "Text Field (multi-line)"

  2. After adding the custom field from the Jira Side, on the Jira Align side run "Resync configuration"

Steps

  1. From Jira Cloud, go to Admin > Issues > Fields > Custom Fields, Create a new custom field, and make sure the Type is Paragragh.

  2. From Jira Align go to Admin > Connectors > Jira Settings > Resycnc Configuration.

  3. Run "Configuration Data Pull."
