How to setup an Email Notification for Jira Align Ideation Portal

Summary

This knowledge article aims to explain the step-by-step setup for Email notifications for the Jira Align Ideation Portal.

Prerequisites:

  • Under Admin> Settings> Email Setting, the "Send only password emails" setting should be set to NO. Please be aware that this might result in receiving extra email notifications to Super Admins rather than only password reset emails.

  • Make sure "Email" toggle is enabled foryour roleunderAccess Control > Roles > "Role" > Administration > Email

Solution

  1. To set email notifications, go to Administration > Email

  2. Under the "Workflow Email" tab, make sure the notification is ON

  3. Now select the "Work Flow Type" as "Enhancement" from the drop-down list

  4. Select the associated"Enhancement Group" that you created from the "Ideation Portal" settings.

  5. Add a user email address or addresses by using a comma and save

  6. Test it if the users are Notified By Email on Add / Edit / Delete of Work Item (Ideas)
