Summary
This article covers a use case where a user accidentally deletes a Story in Jira and wants to recover it.
Solution
The following steps can be used to recover the deleted Jira Story but requires that the original Jira Align side Story still exists and has not been purged.
In Jira Align, go to Settings > Jira Management > Jira Deleted Issues
Click on the 'Check for deleted issues' to run the JQL. This will give the list of all deleted issues.
Locate the Story that needs to be recovered in Jira. Click on its ID which should open the Story in Jira Align
From the right menu option, click on 'More Option'.
From the 'Story Management Options', click on 'Copy'.
Enter the name of the Story to copy the Story.
Once the Story is created, it will Sync back to Jira (this requires that Settings > Allow story sync from Jira Align to Jira = Bidirectional sync)
