Summary
Jet by Jira Align (often referred to as just Jet) is a configuration analysis tool that is installed as a Marketplace application into Jira. Jet's function is to highlight configuration issues that may affect integration with Jira Align when using the Jira Connector.
If Jet is installed into a Jira DC (self-hosted) environment that is due to be migrated to Jira Cloud, how do you migrate Jet?
Environment
Jet by Jira Align
Solution
Jet does not create data in Jira, it is a point-in-time tool that checks the current configuration settings for selected boards (and related issues/work items) to generate an immediate report providing suggestions for areas of concern that may need resolving in order to successfully synchronize with Jira Align. Running Jet more than once does not refer to any previous report results, a new report is generated based on the current data for the board configuration.
As no specific data is created by using Jet, nothing needs migrating. If Jet is needed after Jira has been migrated to the cloud, then it can be installed using the Atlassian Marketplace within the Jira Cloud instance.
