How to enable Approach field for Features on Jira Align

Summary

The Approach field will appear on the Feature slideout panel and it allows the option to choose if a Feature belongs to only one program or if it will be part of multiple programs.

Solution

The field can be enabled on a Portfolio basis through the Detail Panels Setting:

1. Go to Settings > Detail Panel Settings

2. On the first dropdown select the desired Portfolio

3. On the second dropdown select Features (or its equivalent in the current terminology)

4. Find the field Approach and set the Active toggle

5. Save.
