Connect a single Enterprise Insights instance as multiple data sources in Atlassian Analytics

Organizations may want to provide different levels of access or organize data for dashboards and charts by connecting the same Enterprise Insights instance as more than one data source in Atlassian Analytics.

You can connect the same Enterprise Insights instance as multiple data sources in Atlassian Analytics Cloud, each with a unique name, up to the data source limit.

Solution

Atlassian Analytics allows you to connect the same Enterprise Insights (EI) instance as multiple data sources within a single Atlassian Analytics (AA) instance. Each data source must have a unique name.

Steps to add multiple data sources from the same EI instance

1. In Atlassian Analytics, select Data sources from the sidebar.

2. Select Add data source.

3. Select Jira Align Enterprise Insights as the data source type.

4. Choose the same Enterprise Insights instance you want to connect.

5. Enter a unique name for this data source to distinguish it from others.

6. Complete the connection setup as prompted.

7. Repeat these steps to add additional data sources from the same EI instance, ensuring each has a unique name.

You can now use each data source independently for building dashboards and charts, and manage access as needed.

Limitations

• Each data source must have a unique name, even if they connect to the same EI instance.
