Summary
Changes to the work item in Jira Align continue to sync to Jira even after it's moved to a different Jira Project that is not linked to Jira Align.
Environment
Jira Align
Cause
This is an expected behavior because Jira Align keeps the Issue IDs and is used when changes are pushed to Jira.
Since moving the Jira Issue from one project to another does not change the Issue ID, the sync continues. However, the sync from Jira to Jira Align will no longer work as it relies on the Project integration in the Connector.
Unfortunately, this can't be prevented, but can only be resolved after Jira Issues are moved.
Solution
Remove the permission from the Jira Connector service account for the new project that is not connected to Jira Align.
Test and make sure the account can no longer access the project in Jira.
Run the Jira Deleted Issues scan at Administration > Jira management > Jira deleted issues
The results should include the work items that are moved to a new project. (This will only work if the account no longer has project access)
Unlink Jira links from the work items by selecting Remove Jira Key.
