There are situations in which issues are part of an existing workflow within a project and that project is being migrated to a new workflow. Under these conditions it may be required to map workflow status of existing issues from one status to a new status (under the new workflow). In this scenario, will notification be sent to assignees and watchers of tickets that have their statuses updated during the migration?

During the workflow migration when statuses of existing issues are changed notifications to the assignee and watchers will not be sent out. If the status is changed outside of the migration process then a notifications would be sent as normal (if the notification scheme is set to do so). However during the actual migration when the statuses are mapped and the workflows are swapped there should be no notifications sent for that operation.
