Summary
When Fisheye runs with SSL, Google Chrome running on MacOS may show NET::ERR_CERT_VALIDITY_TOO_LONG
error message, and no errors are written in Fisheye logs.
Environment
Operating System: MacOS
Browser: Google Chrome
Cause
The validity of the SSL cert is too longer than 398 days and Apple does not accept that.
Solution
Recreate the SSL cert making sure that it is not valid for longer than 398 days, and that Fisheye is correctly configured to use it.
Workaround
With the Fisheye browser tab open, just type thisisunsafe
. Note that this should not be typed it in the browser's URL bar, but after mouse clicking anywhere in the error page body. Nothing will be seen anywhere as you type, but after finishing to type that, the browser tab will just reload and let them access the page.
