Run Fisheye/Crucible on a specific network adapter

Platform Notice: Data Center Only - This article only applies to Atlassian products on the Data Center platform.

Note that this KB was created for the Data Center version of the product. Data Center KBs for non-Data-Center-specific features may also work for Server versions of the product, however they have not been tested. Support for Server* products ended on February 15th 2024. Summary

Fisheye/Crucible is installed on a server with multiple network adapters (Network interface cards) and the requirement is that it will only use a specific one leaving the others for other applications.

Solution

  • configure the "HTTP Bind" parameter in the Fisheye "Server" settings (under 'Server Settings') in the Admin area to always use one specific network adapter (refer to Configuring the Fisheye web server for more details)

  • restart Fisheye/Crucible for the changes to take effect
