How to force all users to reauthenticate

Platform Notice: Data Center Only - This article only applies to Atlassian products on the Data Center platform.

Note that this KB was created for the Data Center version of the product. Data Center KBs for non-Data-Center-specific features may also work for Server versions of the product, however they have not been tested. Support for Server* products ended on February 15th 2024. *Except Fisheye and Crucible

Summary

You may want to force all Fisheye and Crucible users to re-authenticate. 

Environment

Fisheye and/or Crucible 4.8.9 or Later

Solution

  1. Stop Fisheye and Crucible.

  2. Make sure you do a full backup of Backing up and restoring Fisheye data and/or Backing up and restoring Crucible data.

  3. Remove all rows in the cru_login_cookie table:  

    1 DELETE FROM cru_login_cookie;
  4. Start Fisheye and Crucible.
