If you need to display Russian characters on Fisheye/Crucible and it's showing "?????", please follow these steps:

  1. Stop your Fisheye instance

  2. Create a environment variable called FISHEYE_OPTS with a value "-Dfile.encoding=UTF-8" without the quotes.

  3. Start your Fisheye instance again.

Upon making the changes, check and verify if the changes is being reflected at Administration > Sys Info/Support > System Info. The arguments can be checked under "JVM Input Arguments"
