Nested users not appearing in Atlassian applications linked to Crowd

Symptoms
You have Crowd connected to a user directory that has Nested Groups.
You have Atlassian applications (JIRA, Confluence, etc) that are connected to Crowd.
In the Atlassian application, the top group appears but nested groups do not appear.
Cause
One of the following is not configured:
"Use Nested Groups" in the Crowd directory configuration
"Enable Nested Groups" in the User Directory configuration of the following Atlassian applications
JIRA
Confluence
Stash
Resolution
Make sure that "Use Nested Groups" is checked in the crowd directory configuration
Make sure that the Atlassian application is configured properly
JIRA = "Enable Nested Groups" must be checked in the JIRA User Directory configuration
Confluence = "Enable Nested Groups" must be checked in the Confluence User Directory configuration
Stash = "Enable Nested Groups" must be checked in the Stash User Directory configuration
Bamboo = No additional configuration needed
Fisheye/Crucible = No additional configuration needed
