Problem

Cannot log into Crowd due to having too many users.

Resolution

Generate an evaluation license at https://my.atlassian.com and apply it. After reducing the number of users, reapply your Production license.

ℹ️ To generate the new license the Crowd ServerID is required. Its value can be found in crowd.cfg.xml:

1 <property name="crowd.server.id">XXXX-YYYY-WWWW-ZZZZ</property>

There is a request open to allow the admin user to still log in to reconfigure Crowd when the license has been exceeded:

CWD-678 - Allow Crowd admin ability to adjust number of users if license is accidentally exceeded during configuration.
