How do I remove the demo application from Crowd?

Platform Notice: Data Center Only - This article only applies to Atlassian products on the Data Center platform.

Note that this KB was created for the Data Center version of the product. Data Center KBs for non-Data-Center-specific features may also work for Server versions of the product, however they have not been tested. Support for Server* products ended on February 15th 2024. Follow the instructions below to remove the installed demo application from your Crowd instance.

Solution

You can remove the demo application from your Crowd instance simply by removing the application itself. Here's what you'll need to do:

    1. Login to Crowd as an administrative user.

    2. Click Applications > demo.

    3. Click the Remove application link.

    4. Click the Remove button when prompted to confirm.

If you want to perform additional clean-up and remove the folders themselves (<crowd-install>\demo-src and <crowd-install>\demo-webapp), these can be safely deleted as well, once the application has removed via the UI.
