After upgrading to Crowd 2.11.x, Crowd Log Analyser is not working

Note that this KB was created for the Data Center version of the product. Summary

Problem

Crowd version 2.11 introduced Support Tools Plugin with log analyser. While scanning logs in the home directory, the progress bar stuck at 0%.

Diagnosis

Environment

  • Crowd is hosted in a local network OR Crowd had no access to the internet.

  • No error thrown in the logs.

Cause

  • Crowd Log Analyser requires internet access to work properly.

Solution

Workaround

Atlassian applications allow the use of reverse-proxies/proxy integration within our products, however Atlassian Support does not provide assistance for configuring them. Consequently, Atlassian can not guarantee providing any support for them.
