Problem

After subscribing to a public Google calendar, the entries only show up in Confluence Team Calendars as 'Busy' instead of the actual event names.

Cause

Confluence only has the ability to display the data Google provides, and even though it appears the Calendar is set to public most likely it is set not to share the event names.

Resolution

Set Google Calendar to share event names:

  1. Open Google Calendars

  2. In the calendar list on the left, click on the down-arrow button next to the appropriate calendar, then select Share this calendar.

  3. Select Make this calendar public.

  4. Ensure See only free/busy (hide details) is not selected.

  5. Click Save.
