Tasks marked done still show as unchecked in Confluence reports and lists

Summary
Tasks appear incomplete even after being marked as done. Completed tasks still show as open in reports or task lists. Task status is not syncing correctly.
Steps to reproduce:
Access the Confluence page where tasks are listed.
On the page, confirm that the Task Report Macro is configured to show "incomplete" tasks only.
Verify if the completed tasks are still appearing as incomplete in both the personal task list and the team task summary page.
The cause is a synchronization problem with the task data, likely related to content indexing and the task report macro.
Solution
Trigger task data resync in Confluence pages
Publish the original and report pages (no actual changes are needed - the publish action should trigger a task resync).
Mark the tasks complete in both the original and report pages (uncheck > check then again). This should also trigger a task resync.
Consider using the new editor if you're still on the legacy one.
