Livesearch Not Working Due to Incorrect Server Base URL

Note that this KB was created for the Data Center version of the product. This problem is related to a third party plugin, and therefore not supported by Atlassian. See Atlassian Supported Plugins for more information.
Symptoms
The {livesearch} macro popup suggestion box does not show anything.
Cause
Javascript has problems with place of 'origin' when url are not the same.
Alternatively you may have a webserver in front of your Tomcat serving Confluence that serves https while tomcat is configured to server http.
Resolution
Configure the Server Base URL from Administration >> General Configuration >> Edit.
