JIRA Links button missing

The JIRA links button is missing from a Confluence page that is linked to a JIRA issue.

Diagnosis

Diagnostic Steps

  • Check if you are using the documentation in the Global and Space theme. If yes, please proceed to Cause 1

  • If you are using Confluence 5.4.x or below, please proceed to Cause 2

Cause

  1. The documentation theme does not support the JIRA links feature as mentioned in the documentation The Documentation Theme.

  2. A known bug in Confluence 5.4.x and below CONFSERVER-32523 - JIRA Links Button Missing when Create a Link to an Existing Page with JIRA Links

Solution

Resolution

  • If the documentation theme is being used, change the Space and Global Theme to default Look and feel.

  • If you are using Confluence 5.4.x or below, upgrade to Confluence 5.5 or above.
