Summary

Quick check — am I on Cloud or Data Center / Server?

  • If your URL ends in .atlassian.net (for example mycompany.atlassian.net), you are on Confluence Cloud. Download the Confluence Cloud mobile app — not this one.

  • If your URL is any other domain (e.g. confluence.mycompany.com, mycompany.com/confluence), you are on Confluence Data Center or Server. Continue below.

This article will help you find your Confluence site URL, which is required to set up the Confluence Data Center and Server mobile app.

Solution

To find your Confluence site URL:

  1. Open Confluence in your web browser (on your device, or on your computer or laptop)

  2. Copy the address from your browser's address bar. In some browsers you may need to tap or click the address bar to see the full URL.

    • If you're viewing the dashboard, the site URL is everything that comes before /index-action or /# (for example, everything before /#popular, /#recently-worked)

    • If you're viewing a page or blog post, the site URL is everything that comes before /display or /pages

The site URL could be anything, but might look something like these examples:

Worked examples — what to enter vs what to ignore:

You see in your browser

Enter in the app

https://confluence.mycompany.com/index.action

https://confluence.mycompany.com

https://mycompany.com/confluence/display/SPACE/Page+Title

https://mycompany.com/confluence

https://mycompany.com/confluence/pages/viewpage.action?pageId=12345

https://mycompany.com/confluence

https://confluence.mycompany.com:8443/dashboard.action

https://confluence.mycompany.com:8443

If the app still can't connect:

You may have the right site URL but a different connection problem. See 'Can't connect to your site' error in the Confluence Data Center and Server mobile app.

If you're still unsure about your site URL, talk to your Confluence administrator.
