How to find out which pages will be affected by Retention Job Rules

Summary

Find out the pages that will be affected by the Data Retention Job.

When this job is executed (either soft or hard) all pages, attachments, and trash items that match the rule will be automatically deleted and purged.

Diagnosis

Postgres database query to find out which pages/versions will be affected by the retention job:

1 2 3 select title,contenttype, content_status, version, creationdate, lastmoddate from content where contenttype ='PAGE' and content_status = 'current' and and lastmoddate > (CURRENT_DATE - INTERVAL '60 days') and version > 1;

Solution

Typically retention job will delete any page that meets the criteria for deletion. The above query can be helpful to view which pages will be affected before configuring the rules.
