How Do I Get Email Into Confluence?

Summary
All mail messages belong to a particular space. The steps will vary depending on the version of Confluence.
Solution
Confluence 4.0 and Earlier
From the space administration screen, space administrators can:
Configure Confluence to poll a POP mailbox for incoming mail using these steps:
Go to Space Admin
Choose Mail Accounts
Add Pop Account
Import mail from an mbox-format mail file
Confluence will delete mail from a POP box as it reads it. Do not point Confluence to an account unless you are happy with it removing all the mail you have stored there.
Confluence 5.0+
This functionality is not available by default. To take advantage of it, you will need to enable the Confluence Mail Archiving Plugin. Once enabled, you can configure Confluence to poll a POP mailbox for incoming mail by doing the following:
Go to Space Tools > Integrations > Mail Accounts.
Click Add Mail Account.
Add account as desired.
Click Create.
