How Can Confluence Manage Existing Documents and Attachments?

Confluence takes a different approach to sharing and interacting with content. To take full advantage of Confluence, your documents would be Confluence pages themselves-- continually accessible via the browser, while supporting various forms of rich content, dynamic reports, and threaded discussions. In this way, Confluence was designed to actually reduce dependence on static documents and email threads.
That said, Confluence allows you to interact with existing documents you might like to reference on a page, or use to supplement page content. Just to name a few:
