Customized HTML Breaks the 'Edit Custom HTML' Page

Note that this KB was created for the Data Center version of the product. Symptoms

After creating invalid HTML, the Save button or the Cancel button are not visible on the Edit Custom HTML Page to revert the change.

Cause

Invalid syntax or incompatible customization would lead to the behavior mentioned.

Resolution

In edit mode:

  1. Clear/remove the appended/customized values

  2. Edit the URL to:

    1 http://<your Domain URL>/admin/doeditcustomhtml.action

    The action above will manually execute the Save operation and hence revert the layout to default.
