Confluence Startup Referencing a Different Tomcat

Note that this KB was created for the Data Center version of the product. Symptoms

Confluence standalone has a built in Tomcat. However, upon starting up the instance using startup.bat, it appears to point to a different Tomcat instance instead.

Cause

The CATALINA_HOME environmental variable refers to a different Tomcat instance.

Resolution

Remove the CATALINA_HOME entry.
