Confluence Server Base URL is greyed out and cannot be edited

Problem
When in the Confluence administration screens and editing the 'General configuration' section, the Confluence Base URL is greyed out and cannot be changed.
Cause
'System Administrator' privileges are required to edit the baseURL, regular users and space administrators can not edit the base URL.
Resolution
Login as a user which has 'System Administrator' privileges. For more details on permissions in Confluence please see Global Permissions Overview.
